The Place and Wellbeing Outcomes provide a consistent and comprehensive focus for where place impacts on the wellbeing of people and planet.

Scotland faces significant health inequalities, alongside a climate crisis and recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The P&WO have been developed by the Place and Wellbeing Collaborative. They are based on the Place Standard Tool and they match the key 20 minute neighbourhood features being identified and pursued internationally. The outcomes fall under five overarching themes of movement, spaces, resources, civic and stewardship. By embedding the P&WO in planning and public health it will provide one joined-up approach to place.
